I got a bit behind updating the blog with PL, but thankfully I have managed to stay current with my journaling and pictures. Maybe later I will take pictures to show you how the month has come together. Loving it!
January 16 thru January 22, 2011
[Another day of sports for the boys...wiffle ball and then basketball in the basement with Turner -- the hoops were the best Christmas gift ever (but I need ear plugs!)]
[The boys and I had Martin Luther King Jr. Day off today. We did absolutely nothing! I did manage to get the house picked up and swept, and finished a book I was reading -- LOVE my iPad!]
[So my "Move More, Eat Less" resolution isn't going so well - it's more like "Eat More, Move Less." I keep thinking that tomorrow's the day I'll be motivated.] (Leftover birthday cake from Nick's birthday celebration with Grandma and Pop.)
[I got the photos developed today for our Project Life album. After I put the photos in, Zach couldn't wait to look through the album - I love that he's so excited about this project. Most nights he will ask if I've gotton a photo for the day.]
[Jasper took off again this afternoon. Before it got dark the boys and I went to look for him and didn't find him. Kim called two hours later to tell me they found him, Dug (Jasper's brother) and Tut walking back to our house. Tehy are becoming quite the buddies!]
[I was up at 4:30 am to get ready for my flight to ABQ to surprise Sarah for her birthday. Thankfully, all the flights were great! I was disappointed to miss Zach playing during half-time of the J.V. and Varsity games.]
I plan to insert 8.5 x 11 digital scrapbook pages documenting my trip to ABQ here.
(No digital image for Saturday, but thankfully DH took pictures from a water camera for me...I was so happy to have them! The journaling for today is what Zach wrote on a card for our album!)
[I won over Gibsonburg 44-4, leading scorers were Clay, Jonah, Austin and me. After are game we Brock, Aaron and Braden and me went to Castaway Bay.]

January 9 thru January 15, 2011
[Today was a lazy day. Scott went to church, I woke up with a sinus headache, Nick didn't wake up until 9:30 (a record for him!) and Zach spent the night at Brock's last night. The boy's went to wiffle ball this afternoon (Jasper and I slept) and now it's video games and starting to get things around for the week. I'm afraid it will be a long week -- everyone is already tired!]
[Zachary and Nicholas brought their grade cards home for the second nine weeks and they both did great. Zachary got all A's and B's and made the honor roll again. Nicholas needs to continue to work on his reading fluency and comprehension and still excels at math. So proud!]
[The first snow storm of the year. Snow days aren't quite as much fun when you have to drive in it! The snow started around 10 a.m. and by the time I left work at 3:45 it was not fun. There is a definite difference between _______ County roads (bad!) and ________ County roads (not as bad!)]
[When Pipi left after I got home from work he didn't get the door shut tight. Once I noticed that it was open, I had Nick check to make sure Frank hadn't gotton in. We didn't find him and forgot all about it -- until two hours later and something brushed across my leg! Frank ran back upstairs and the chase was on! Jasper finally got him out and Nick had a hard time carrying Fat Frank downstairs!]
[Nicholas has worked so hard at school. For so long he has been behind in reading and spelling, and while he still has work to do, I can finally see all of the hard work paying off. He still needs to improve in reading and comprehension, but his spelling is terrific! I am so very proud of you and your perserverance, Boo! We love you! Love, Mama]
[Tonight we went to watch Jillian play soccer. While I understood very little that was happening, it was fun to watch. Jillian is a terrific athlete and we are so thankful that she is feeling well enough to be able to play again after years of suffering the worst symptoms of POTS.]
[Another basketball morning. Zach's team won 26-13 and Nick had camp again. Afterwards Nick went with Grandma and Pop to celebrate his birthday early. Zach had Aaron come over and they went to the high school game...which meant I got a nice quiet evening at home!]

January 2 thru January 8, 2011
[My last day before heading back to work and I finally slept in! After getting up it was time to get the house back in order - 6 loads of laundry and gifts put away, along with a few remaining decorations. Teh boys went outside to work on wood - and lock Zach in Jasper's kennel. BOYS!]
[My first day back to work in a week and a half - boy was it tough getting up! The day went slow because I knew what would be waiting for me when I got home - Project Life! Why did I think free shipping would be okay? It took forever to get here!]
[They started putting the new windows in today. While the house is only 12.5 years old, the windows have never been great. I'm looking forward to being able to wash the tops of them from the inside - I'm sure it will make it much more fun!]
[They continued to work on windows again today. When I got home and walked into the bedroom, I found Jasper laying in the middle of the bed. His normal spot is at the end of the bed on Scott's side, facing the window so he can look out. I guess he wasn't going to let a few clothes get in his way of comfort!]
[Zach started a computer class this quarter at school. He wanted to show me what he's learned so far. Of course, as soon as I saw it I knew this would be the picture for today. Zach, YOU rock!]
[After a week back into the normal routine, we were all exhausted. WE had Cygnet Pizza and laid in our bed to watch "Wipe Out." This morning we had to get our how water tank replaced. Thankfully it was still under waranty!]
[Today was Zach's first basketball game of the season and they won, 19 to 17. Zach scored 6 points. I love to watch him play! Nick had basketball camp this morning and he won his game and scored six points too!]

December 26, 2010 - January 1, 2011
[A lazy day after Christmas. WE were home again today and it felt good to do whatever. Scott went to BG for a few groceries and the boys and I cleaned up part of the basement so they could have a "full" basketball court with the hoops they got for Christmas. Dad came over to secure the first hoop and hang the second -- GAME ON!]
[I'm off work this week and after dropping the boys off at wiffle ball camp I decided to tackle the tree and decorations. It felt good getting the house back in order - until the boys came home...someday I'll mis spicking up after them, right?]
[Another lazy day - Nick spent all afternoon watching Star Wars, Zach went from one thing to another. For dinner we went to Mom and Dads to celebrate Christmas with everyone (except Matt). Loved family time!]
[Today was the last day of wiffle ball camp for the boys. While they were there I went to Mom and Dad's to spend more time with Sarah and JJ before they fly back to New Mexico. It was hard to say goodbye and I pray for their health and safety.]
[Nick's friend Caleb spent the night and we took him home around 11:30. It's been a relaxing day - Dukes of Hazzard for the boys (will they ever get tired of the Dukes?) and computer/scrapbook time for me.]
[Zach and I went to Findlay to run errands and I loved having the alone time with him (and I even convinced him to get his hair cut!). Scott and I went to Jim and Tammie's New Year's Eve party and it was nice reconnecting with friends. The boys stayed at Mom and Dad's and they managed to see the ball drop...they weren't impressed!]
[We picked the boys up at 11:30 and played some basketball in the basement (part of my 'Move More, Eat Less' goal). Oprah launced her new network (OWN) so I spent alot of time watching t.v. The boys finally managed to use the party poppers they had for last night at 6 p.m.!]

I feel like I need to re-introduce myself ;o)
A couple of weeks ago I was looking for some information here about Nicholas' ear surgeries and was so glad that I had taken the time to record that time in our lives. And I realized that almost a year has gone by with nothing. So, here I go again ;o)
Look for more posts, or at least Project Life 2011 updates on Tuesdays.
